Well-being
In Eirene's wellness selection, you will find Dr. Ohhira's and Nordwise's food supplements. When choosing a food supplement, check its ingredients, the amount of active ingredients per daily dose, instructions for use, and warnings. Food supplements do not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. Do not choose a product solely based on a general health promise. In case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, medication use, or when choosing a product for a child, consult a doctor or pharmacist if necessary.
How to choose the right food supplement or wellness product?
Determine what product you are actually looking for
A food supplement and a wellness product used in the bath are not the same type of products. A food supplement is intended for oral consumption according to the daily dose indicated on the packaging. Magnesium flakes are intended for external use in a body or foot bath. Do not use the product in a way not prescribed by its packaging or instructions for use.
Check the amount of active ingredients per daily dose
The name of an ingredient on the front of a food supplement does not yet indicate how much of it will be received with the daily dose. Check the recommended daily dose on the package, the amounts of active ingredients, and the percentage of the daily reference intake, if indicated. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Read the entire composition
In addition to the main ingredient, also check other active ingredients, the ingredients of the capsule or other dosage form, and possible allergens. If you are using several food supplements at once, check if the same vitamins or minerals are repeated in different products.
Critically evaluate health claims
A food supplement must not be attributed with the ability to cure, prevent, or diagnose disease. A permitted health claim must be related to a specific nutrient or substance, and the product must meet the conditions of use for the claim. A general phrase such as "supports health" requires a link to a specific permitted health claim.
Follow the target group and warnings
A product intended for adults may not be suitable for a child. For a product intended for children, strictly follow the age limit and daily dose. In case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, chronic illness, or medication use, check for possible interactions and consult a healthcare professional if necessary.
Store the product correctly
Follow the storage conditions indicated on the packaging. For some products, temperature, humidity, protection from light, or refrigeration may be important. Keep food supplements out of reach of children.
Magnesium flakes do not replace food supplements
Magnesium flakes intended for body and foot baths should not be described as a substitute for an oral magnesium supplement. Use them only as described on the product label and in the instructions. Avoid unconfirmed claims about magnesium absorption through the skin or its health effects.
